Academic Standards

click on state to check local regulations and academic standards.

PAC textbooks are currently aligned with the state standards of Arizona and Texas while meeting or exceeding standards of most states. PAC editors have provided more content than expected so teachers may prescribe specific lessons to address local standards.

CLARIFICATION OF LESSONS FOR
TRANSCRIPT CREDIT

PAC customers have asked for clarification of the amount of PAC material which should be completed for transcript credit. Although each state stipulates specific skills and knowledge which must be taught to students at specific grade levels, PAC has established the following general guidelines for assigning transcript credit.(*)

(*) PAC is currently aligning PAC courses with Arizona and Texas academic standards.
(^) Social studies (PPP of America) chapters 1-6 may also be used at the high school level; in fact, many schools are already using these chapters to meet or exceed state academic requirements at the high school level.
(§) Quantity includes texts plus activity books, quizzes and tests.
++ These courses may contain essential skills and knowledge needed for effective student recovery programs. Teachers are encouraged to “pick and choose” specific sections/chapters which are included in state academic standards allowed for remedial course transcript credit. The PAC individualized/accelerated format accommodates selective assignments from various course chapters to build an effective recovery program.
