BASIC
MATH SKILLS
These
courses are designed for seventh and eighth grade students who need a
comprehensive study of basic mathematics from simple addition to pre-algebra.
The learning approach is based on content mastery facilitated by a combination
of practice and reasoning. Each math concept is explained, defined and
illustrated with at least two examples. Activity problems are crafted
carefully to move the student from known to unknown material. The writers
and editors have demonstrated their extensive experience with guided individualized
learning approaches. Students can move through the courses and grasp math
concepts with very little dependence on teachers. These courses provide
excellent remedial studies for high school level students or adults who
need a refresher course prior to algebra. (Watch for availability date
in March 2004.)
