International
Services
Are you a student preparing to enter the United States of America to
study at the college or technical school level?
Are you wanting to be better equipped to work in a global market that
includes U.S. and other English speaking markets?
If you could provide training opportunities to nationals in your area
and make a profit, would you do it?
Do you enjoy teaching others what you know about office tools that are
commonly used in global markets?
Preparatory
Studies
PAC audio-optical
and paper editions have immediate applications in international cultures.
Secondary level students who want to transition to the American work force
or university setting should be prescribed PAC's transition courses to
help them assimilate:
- English Language
Skills
- U.S. History/Culture
- Integrated Physics
and Chemistry
These three courses
give international students a "jump start" into American universities
and employment opportunities by providing core secondary level lessons
that guide the students audibly and visually through basic concepts of
the English language content and American culture.
The individualized
format of the curriculum paces student progress according to comprehension
of content and English language skills. Students earn course credit while
improving English language skills (audio and written). The PAC
audio-optical editions utilize Kurzweil
3000™ software with dictionaries in Spanish, German,
French, Dutch, English, and Italian languages that helps students to understand
unfamiliar words and concepts.
The Integrated
Physics and Chemistry course is designed to familiarize students
with technical language and the periodic element chart so science college
courses will be easier.
The People,
Places and Principles of America is a study of American culture
(past and present): agriculture, art, architecture, fashions, furniture,
food, family, government, economics, communication, discoveries, explorations,
dominant persons and events, medicine, military, music, education, literature,
light and energy, religion, celebrations, homes, sports, recreation, and
transportation.
English Language
Skills reviews American English grammar, vocabulary, speaking,
reading and writing skills. Each lesson begins with an interesting story
from which the lesson is built.

Description
The store front
is arranged in the design of a one-room school with study booths on
each side of the main room. On one side are several (3 or 4) multimedia
computers capable of running the latest version of Windows™ or
Linux (substituted for Windows™ for use in the Republic of China),
office applications (i.e. Microsoft Office®, Star Office®, WordPerfect
Suite® etc.) that provide spreadsheet, database, word-processing,
and presentation applications. On the opposite side of the room are
at least eight study booths in which students learn from Audio-Optical
Enhanced and printed
curriculum. At the back of the room or in a small office
are a desk, filing cabinet, copier storage cabinet printer, phone/fax
and office computer with Internet capability. A restroom and kitchenette
should be nearby (in an adjacent room or in cooperation with a neighboring
coffee shop, restaurant, etc.). A small conference room should be available

library can be located in the back of the main room and on electronic
media.
